A lightning strike killed 68 goats in Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal on April 9, 2021.
The shepherd was talking on his mobile phone near when he suddenly heard two extremely loud thunder-claps coming out-of-nowhere.
After the surprising bangs, the farmer looked in the direction of his 300 goats, only 100 meters from him.
He noticed that some of his animals were walking abnormally and decided to check if everything was ok.
This is when he discovered, horrified, 68 dead capra, all in a line.
Shepherd Dário Lima has never seen something like that in his 40 years of experience… He thinks his animals have ‘exploded from the inside’.
