Officials report that strong hail storms and heavy rain forced scorpions out of their burrows and into the streets and people\u2019s houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong><em>503 residents in Aswan got antidotes for scorpion bites \u2026 there were no deaths from the bites,<\/em><\/strong>\u201d Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said in a Saturday statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, local media reports said&nbsp;<strong>that three people have died from scorpion bites in the city of Aswan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"attachment_277879\" class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/strangesounds.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/scorpions-invade-Aswan-Egypt-after-torrential-rain-and-hail-storms.jpg?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/strangesounds.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/scorpions-invade-Aswan-Egypt-after-torrential-rain-and-hail-storms.jpg?w=696&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"scorpions invade Aswan, Egypt after torrential rain and hail storms\" class=\"wp-image-277879\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the acting health minister,&nbsp;<strong>there is enough anti-venom in all hospitals in Egypt, with 3,350 doses currently available in hospitals in Aswan Governorate alone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavy rainfall, up to 4.5 mm in some places, led to surface run-off and torrential rain.
