Hamas wants to show the world that it has casualties and dead,\u201d IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/liveblog_entry\/idf-says-hamas-is-preventing-civilians-from-evacuating-northern-gaza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Times of Israel<\/a>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe continue to urge the residents of Gaza City, go south\u2026 Hamas wants you as human shields\u2026 This is for your personal safety,\u201d the spokesperson added, according to the outlet. \u201cWe are going to attack very widely in Gaza City in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Following the IDF&#39;s warning, residents of the Gaza Strip began to evacuate from their homes to south of the Wadi Gaza for their own protection.
