The fiery incident resulted in the closure of one of the busiest freeways in downtown Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe state is mobilizing resources and taking steps to ensure any necessary repairs are completed as soon as possible to minimize the impact on those traveling in and around Los Angeles,\u201d Newsom&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ca.gov\/2023\/11\/11\/governor-newsom-proclaims-state-of-emergency-in-los-angeles-county-due-to-i-10-freeway-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe state will assess damage, remove hazardous waste and begin repairs as soon as the site can be accessed,\u201d he added. \u201cCaltrans and the California Highway Patrol will continue to provide updates as they become available.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inferno first came to light in the early&nbsp;morning hours&nbsp;around 12:30 a.m., at a pallet yard located beneath the I-10 Freeway in close vicinity to East 14th and Alameda streets, as reported by authorities.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/go.ezodn.com\/utilcave_com\/ezoicbwa.png?w=696&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Ezoic\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The blaze ultimately expanded to cover an area of eight acres before it was eventually quenched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Video footage obtained from KABC shows a stunning view where huge flames ascended towards the sky, engulfing a highway bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BREAKING?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BREAKING<\/a> Both directions of the 10 Freeway near Alameda in Downtown Los Angeles are shutdown following a massive pallet fire. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAFD?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LAFD<\/a> on scene.
